Rainier Christian Schools Spring Auction

Winter is here and plans are already underway for Rainier Christian Schools’ 13^th annual spring auction. This yearly event will be held Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 5:00pm to 9:30pm at The Kent Commons. Please mark your calendar now for this fun-filled event which benefits every student and staff member within RCS.

Some might ask...why does RCS hold an auction? The auction funds raised bridge the gap each year in the RCS operating budget. Tuition and fees alone do not ensure our annual budget is met. Auction dollars assists in RCS’ ability to offers the latest curriculum for students, adequate salaries for the teachers, as well as upgrade and maintain our campuses' facilities. Not to mention fulfilling yearly financial aid requests so families who desire it can offer Christian education to their children.

Our annual RCS auctions have been extremely successful, raising over $900,000 in the past 12 years. These funds have provided our schools with needed programs and facilities. For that we are extremely grateful.

Yearly RCS parents, students, staff, and local businesses work together in support of the auction which makes our schools a better place. We thank you in advance for your assistance and involvement with this years’ auction. It is your partnership with RCS that makes it so we can provide the best Christ-centered education to all the students at our five campuses in the district.

Our auction goals for 2010 are:

· $125,000 net raised

· 350+ people in attendance

· $40,000 given for scholarships

The auction committee is already forming and beginning to work to put into place what is needed to accomplish these goals. We cannot do it on our own though. Every staff member, parent, student, as well as family and friends are encouraged to join forces to ensure this years’ auction meets its goals.

Our auction is successful when we have new quality donations. We’d appreciate any donation of an item or certificate for a service or product. The procurement form is posted here on the website or they are available at every RCS campus or Administration Offices in Renton...so don't delay, pick some up or print some out, fill them out, pass them out, and return them. Donated are accepted at any campus or the RCS Administrative Offices.

Mark your calendar with the date of Saturday, April 24, 2010. Start now to invite family, friends, co-workers, and/or neighbors to attend this exciting event with you. Tickets will be $55 per person for a buffet with prime rib and salmon prepared by Longhorn Barbecue. That’s a great price for a fantastic meal, along with fun and fellowship in support of RCS. Table sponsorships and catalog advertising are also available.
