General Information about Rainier

Rainier Christian Schools is composed of five campuses. Including three Preschool / Childcare Centers (the three are co-located at the elementary campuses), three Elementary Schools, a Middle School and a High School.

Location

Our campuses are located in the South King County area, drawing primarily from the communities of Auburn, Covington, Fairwood, Maple Valley, and Renton.

Founded

Rainier Christian Schools was founded in 1994 with the merger of two well-established Christian Schools whose heritage dates back to 1963.

General Operating Budget

$5.5 Million for the 2007-2008 school year.

Enrollment:

The average enrollment over the past three years has been approximately 915 students. Enrollment by Campus

Faculty and Support Staff:

  • The faculty consists of 100 full-time and 20 part-time faculty and staff members
  • The majority of teaching staff are certified through the State of Washington, the Association of Christian Schools International, or other state certification programs.
  • The uniqueness of our faculty is the clear testimony of Christ in their lives and their commitment to integrating Biblical truths in all subject areas.

Churches Represented

RCS is an interdenominational organization with over 170 churches represented in its student body.

Membership

RCS is a member in good standing with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
